ALPINE PLANNING GROUP
WESTERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE
March 27 – April 03, 2011

Join ALPINE PLANNING GROUP for an adventurous, yet relaxing, “sun-filled, fun-filled” week onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s newest ship, ALLURE OF THE SEAS. This cruise ship will take the idea of a “floating city” to a new level. Take this opportunity and be one of the first in your group of family and friends to experience a cruise on Royal Caribbean’s latest architectural marvel.

This mega-ship will be launched in December, 2010. It weighs in at 220,000 gross registered tons, it carries 5,400 passengers at double occupancy, and has sixteen decks. This is one of the largest cruise ships in the world and it is brimming with features and amenities that are sure to make you want to pinch yourself to see if you are dreaming.

Some of the newest features/activities onboard this ship are the AquaTheater amphitheater, ziplining at sea, the first ever carousel at sea, the first ever Beach Pool at Sea, an adult’s only Solarium, and last but not least, the Rising Tide Bar that raises and lowers, like the ocean’s tide between three different decks. In addition, you’ll find a full basketball court, volleyball, a 9-hole miniature golf course, a golf simulator, a Vitality of the Sea Spa & Fitness Center, two rock climbing walls, two of the ever popular FlowRider surf simulators, a running track, an ice rink, whirlpool spas, the main pool, a sports pool, plenty of restaurants for your ’round the clock dining pleasure, a casino, and a host of bars and entertainment options.

Every cruise ship offers some sort of “WOW” factor. Royal Caribbean continues to define and redefine cruising by creating and building the most innovative and revolutionary ships at sea. The latest is the concept of Neighborhoods at Sea each with their own distinct experience.

THE BOARDWALK - Cities and their famous boardwalks all around the world were the inspiration for this neighborhood. No matter “how old” or “how young” you are, you can reminisce about the “good ol’ days” as you take a ride on this unbelievable carousel. The boardwalk has an ice cream parlor, a donut shop, a candy shop, Madame Zamara’s Psychic and Tattoo Parlor (air brush, of course), and the zip line. The zip line is designed as a pulley system on a cable that is suspended over nine decks on the ship. Gravity is used to propel you as you get an incredible bird’s eye view (if you have your eyes open) of the Boardwalk and passengers below! Now, that’s an adventure! Also, the first of its kind at sea is the AquaTheater. During the day it is a freshwater pool at sea, but as the sun goes down it is transformed into a performance venue like no other. It will feature acrobatics, synchronized swimming, water ballet and professional high-diving performances.

ROYAL PROMENADE - This neighborhood is described as the “heart of the ship” and features all sorts of drinking, dining and shopping opportunities even for the “most traveled of travelers.” From a champagne bar to a coffee bar, from pizza to a signature café, from a barber shop to a perfume shop—there is something for everyone to enjoy and entertain themselves from morning until night. The Rising Tide Bar finds its way to this neighborhood and it takes drinking to a whole new level—actually three deck levels—as it rises and falls with the tide!

CENTRAL PARK - This is an oasis onboard the ALLURE that is open to the sky and surrounded by lush foliage and winding paths. You actually feel the tranquility of a park setting. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in this neighborhood for you to partake of. During the day, find a spot to curl up with a good book or just people watch—in the evening, enjoy all sorts of entertainment and street performances. Chops Grille (Royal Caribbean’s signature steak house), 150 Central Park and Antonio’s Table offer delectable dining opportunities.

VITALITY AT SEA SPA AND FITNESS CENTER - As always the fitness center offers state-of-the-art cardio and resistance machines and several workout studios that offer a wide variety of classes including spinning, kickboxing, Pilates, and yoga, to name a few. Kinesis is also offered as one of the newest most innovative forms of resistance training. The spa offers traditional spa services and skin treatments, saunas and steam rooms, solo and couples massages, a beauty salon, and a Vitality Café that features healthy smoothies, snacks and entrees.

POOL AND SPORTS ZONE - Wow! If you’re into H2O, you’ll never have to leave this deck! There are four featured swimming pools and ten whirlpools. The sports pool is available for lap swimming in the mornings and in the afternoon it touts water volleyball, water basketball and pool jousting. There is a beach pool (the first of its kind at sea) with its sloped entry so that you can wade into the water or relax in colorful beach chairs under an umbrella as the water rolls gently beneath you. There is also the traditional main pool that is surrounded by cabanas and the largest collection of lounge chairs on any cruise ship. If that isn’t enough, there is the Solarium that offers an adult-only environment that allows for a dip in the most tranquil pool onboard the ship! If adventure is your game, the sports deck offers basketball, volleyball, ping pong, miniature golf, and the two surf simulators!!! If surfing is not your game, you can cheer your “surfer dude” friends on from the comfort of your chair in the Wipeout Bar!!!

ENTERTAINMENT PLACE - Although entertainment options can be found in every neighborhood on the ship, this new and exciting contemporary night club district will offer not only the traditional “wow” factor performances in the Opal Theater and Studio B, but also incorporates smaller more intimate venues to expand entertainment options for its travelers. The new collection of venues will include Blaze, the hottest nightclub at sea; Jazz on 4, an intimate lounge filled with live jazz and blues; and Comedy Live, featuring side splitting comedy. Dance enthusiasts also will be able to enjoy an elegant evening in Dazzles, a dance lounge featuring musically themed evenings like Classic Ballroom, 40’s Big Band, Hollywood Glamour (Fred & Ginger), Romance, Studio 54, etc. There will be dance lessons involved for some and competitions for others. Not ready to sleep yet? Casino Royale, for those travelers with Lady Luck on their side, will be the largest and most sophisticated casino at sea. It will feature 450 slot machines and extensive games including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, and Caribbean Stud Poker. There will be additional gaming amenities such as a sports book/bar, poker room, cage, players club, etc.

The gastronomic offerings are available almost 24 hours a day. They range from casual to dressy and from buffets to full-service dining. The main dining room has also approached new levels! Opus Dining Room is 4 levels high and every evening you will be tempted with a variety of options for each dining course. Forget your diet for a week and enjoy! Not only do you have some freedom about when you eat during the day, but you have a choice of gourmet or health-conscious cuisine AND a choice of locations in which to enjoy it.

In keeping in touch with today’s pace, RCI provides high tech on the high seas! For a small fee, you can send your friends or family an e-mail to brag about your trip...or your can check your home or office e-mail if you know the access entry from a remote location. (Remember...you ARE on vacation, so don’t get carried away with “office” messages.)
